Brandy Norwood, the 37-year-old singer behind hits like “Have You Ever?” and  “The Boy Is Mine,”  has filed suit against her record label Chameleon Entertainment and its president, Breyon Prescott, according to documents obtained by EW. In the complaint, filed with L.A.’s Superior Court on Tuesday, the singer alleges her label “will not pay for her to record new albums or allow her to otherwise release music to her fans” in “a blatantly unlawful attempt to bully Norwood into signing a new recording and distribution agreement containing terms far worse than her current agreement.” Brandy is seeking $1 million in compensatory damages. The World Health Organization says Ebola no longer qualifies as an international health emergency. The announcement was made Tuesday by Margaret Chan, director-general of the WHO, who said high vigilance must still be maintained in West Africa. Nearly 11,000 people have died mostly in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone since December 2013. Each of the three has declared an end to Ebola virus transmission in their countries only to see a flare-up of new cases. Health authorities have said that male survivors can transmit the virus sexually to their partners for up to a year after they recover. An Associated Press investigation found that WHO initially delayed declaring an international emergency — similar to an SOS signal — in the first place on political and economic grounds. Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis has been charged with betting on games by the Football Association. The 35-year-old, who has been charged with 12 offences relating to betting between 22 and 28 January 2016, could face a fine or even a ban. Demichelis has until 5pm to respond to the charges. Rules introduced to the game last season banned footballers and coaches from betting on matches, anywhere in the world. Former Newcastle ace Dan Gosling was fined £30,000 for breaching the betting laws, but was able to avoid a suspension. Patty Duke, the film, television, and stage actress who won an Academy Award at age 16 for her role as Helen Keller in A Miracle Worker, has died. She was 69.  Duke’s husband, Michael Pearce, told the New York Times that his wife’s cause of death was sepsis caused by a ruptured intestine. Duke, whose real name was Anne Pearce, was the youngest actress at the time to earn an Oscar (she first played Keller opposite Anne Bancroft on Broadway). The photo messaging service, which has tried to break more effectively into the advertising space, has touted that figure in its pitches to advertises, BusinessInsider reported on Friday. Here’s one shell of a story: Jonathan the Giant Tortoise — reputed to be the oldest known living land animal on Earth at an estimated age of 184 years — has finally had a bath.  The massive reptile is considered a “national treasure” on the tiny British island territory of St. Helena.
