Burnley announce record £30million profits and clear their debts after one-season Premier League stay
Burnley have cleared their debts after posting record £30.14million profits.
The figures up until June 2015, show Burnley turned a £7.6million loss the previous year into a huge profit because of their return to the Premier League.
Chairman Mike Garlick says the Championship leaders have used the money to pay off their £10million debts and spend £10million upgrading their training facilities at Gawthorpe.
He said: "A net profit of £30.1million is not only the biggest recorded by the club, but also one of the highest in the Premier League as a whole.
"In times of boom and bust for many clubs in the world of football, we continue to be regarded by many as a role model of how to run a club in the modern era."
