RUMOURS: BARCELONA WEIGH UP SURPRISE MOVE FOR RONDON

Barcelona are weighing up a shock move for West Brom and Venezuela striker Salomon Rondon, according to the Daily Mirror.
Luis Enrique has made no secret of his desire to add another striker to his side before the transfer window closes, but the Liga champions have missed out on a number of forwards so far.

And it is now being reported that Rondon, who has previously played for Spanish outfits Las Palmas and Malaga, is being considered by Barcelona as they step up their attempts to land a new marksman.

Newcastle United ace Ayoze Perez and Milan hitman Carlos Bacca are also believed to be on the Catalan giants' list of targets.

Australia Has Rescued 37 People Stranded on an Icebreaker Ship in Antarctica

Australia sent a mission to rescue 37 people who were stranded aboard an Australian icebreaking ship that ran aground after a severe blizzard Wednesday. Australian officials said on Friday that they were launching a rescue mission to retrieve the members of the icebreaker’s expedition and bring them to Mawson Station — an Australian research facility on Antarctica — reports the BBC. Thirty-one crew members will stay onboard the 4,311-ton vessel, the Aurora Australis, and work to refloat it. All 68 passengers and crew are safe, authorities said, and the vessel itself incurred only a small breach in its hull.
