Manchester United have made an increased £28million move for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

According to Mirror Sport Manchester United are very close to meeting Borussia Dortmund's asking price of £31 million for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, having offered £28m.

The player agent Mino Raiola, has confirmed the Red Devils' interest in his client, pushing the 27-year-old to Old Trafford.

Dortmund have publicly refused bids for their star, however, constantly claiming he will not leave Signal Iduna Park until his contract is up next summer.

But, it is believed they will relent when a sum in the region of £31m is offered for Mkhitaryan, and United are very close to matching their demands with their improved £28m offer.

The number of cases of microcephaly in Brazil associated with the Zika virus has risen to 4,863 —up from 4,690 a week ago.
