Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea: Christian Benteke salvages point for wasteful Reds - 5 things we learned

The fallen champions showed glimpses of their old selves as they attempted to ruin Liverpool's Anfield send-off but the Belgian struck late to deny them 



 Christian Benteke bagged a stoppage-time goal to rescue a point for Liverpool against Chelsea at Anfield.
Liverpool were heading to a third straight league defeat at home to Chelsea before Benteke came off the bench to head home from close range.

The goal was the least Liverpool deserved on their Anfield send-off ahead of Wednesday's Europa League Final and they were guilty of missing several chances.

Chelsea were also worth a point as they turned back the clock to show glimpses of their former selves.
Eden Hazard was outstanding as he reminded everyone why he was voted last season's Footballer of the Year as he netted a superb individual goal to open the scoring.

Zika-Linked Cases of Microcephaly Rise in Brazil

The number of cases of microcephaly in Brazil associated with the Zika virus has risen to 4,863 —up from 4,690 a week ago. Confirmed cases of the virus reached 641, while suspected cases now total 4,222, Reuters reported on Wednesday morning, citing the Ministry of Health. The Zika epidemic—which is now spreading through the Americas and prompting a dedicated response from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention—is centered in Brazil.
