Beyoncé and Jay Z Spotted Together in Miami After Lemonade Debut


It's onward and upward for Jay Z and Beyoncé. Just days after the release of the pop star's new visual album Lemonade, the couple were together in Miami for Beyoncé's Formation World Tour kickoff.

Despite the ensuing Beyhive drama caused by Lemonade's themes of infidelity, the pair sat side-by-side while riding on the back of a golf cart at Marlins Park on Tuesday, during the singer's rehearsal.

Later, during that evening's performance, Beyoncé, 34, thanked her "beautiful husband" before closing the show with "Halo."

Jay Z, 46, was also spotted in Florida on Tuesday, chatting with a friend at a Miami hotel.




"Miami Beach is very special for this couple. They have had dozens of amazing experiences here and love coming down," a source told PEOPLE of their time down South.

As for the pair's relationship, an insider previously told PEOPLE that the past is in the past.

"They definitely went through a rough patch a couple years ago, but they came out stronger in the end," says an insider close to the couple. "Jay's been very supportive of Beyoncé."

Gun Background Checks in February Were the 3rd Highest Ever

February was one of the biggest months on record for gun background checks , according to new FBI data. The number of background checks conducted by the National Instant Criminal Background Check System on people trying to purchase a firearm hit 2.6 million in February, down from a high of 3.3 million in December 2015, according to the FBI. February’s background check total was the third largest in history, also falling short of the 2.7 million conducted in December 2012 after the deadly mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School . The FBI noted that the number of background checks does not directly correlate to the number of firearm sales. The large number of background checks comes after a year of several high-profile mass shootings . Gun sales in America have historically spiked after a mass shooting, and there was a record number of firearm background checks conducted in 2015.
